I am about to buy a CD burner, as far as I see these models are the ones I could afford. is there a reason why to choose one and not the other? how does they work under win XP?

the models are:
Philips PCRW1208K 12x8x32
Samsung CDRW SW408 8x8x32
Ricoh MP7083A-DP 8x8x32x
LG Electronics 12x8x32 CED8120B
Lite-on 16x10x40x

thanks in advance

you sure you can't spring for the liteon 24102b? it's only 120 the last time i chk pricewatch. even with shipping, that's only about 130 something or so. from my experience so far with this drive, i think it is the best cdr i ever got anytime. I have 3 other cdrw, yamaha 4416, acer 1208a, and phillips cdd2000 and this drive really kicks asses.

Yeah Ferrari is right. Go with the Liteon 24x as it one of the best CDRW available on the marker as well as the Plextor 24x which is a hell of alot more expensive. The liteon & the Plextor can copy pretty mush all the copy protected discs out their. For value for money go with the Liteon 24x and I am sure you will be happy with this drive and make no exception this is currently one of the best drives out their and thr best thing about it is the Price. Well worth it.

liteon 24102b for sure. can't be much difference in the price of it and the ones you have listed. reads everything and writes everything. does excellent dae too. i've gone through LOTS of cds since i've got mine and not one coaster. and there's something about being able to burn a cd in 3 and a half minutes.
