i am in the market for a dvd player to put nice pictures on my TV
i would like one that can be made region free and play most disk formats [codacs] any suggestions welcome.i know that most will play
vcd and mpeg 2 but what about mpeg4 dvx and others

The APEX DVD players are pretty universal. I just got one and love it. Plays all currect formats well.

Picked up an APEX from Walmart for $73 and so far it plays everything I can throw at it. MP3, VCDs, SVCDs, DVDs and will display JPGs as well, and a whole lot more! GREAT machine! Nice picture as well. Better than my Memorex DVD player.
