Hi!
I have a Problem since I upgraded to 5.5xx! As soon as I install any (I tried everything since 5.518) of the versions I can't use StandBy or hibernation Mode with Win2000 more than once! I can go to standby once and when my computer wakes up everything is ok. But if I now try to go to StandBy Mode again my computer stops at the message getting ready for StandBy mode... And it does that for a really long time if I don't interrupt!

With 5.0X everything works quite well.
Does anybody know that problem, or has a solution for it? I now can't step back to 5.0x because of my new Burner LiteOn 24x

Would be glad for any help or solutions!

Thanx Moertl

"Reason" for which bugs in particular, or do you mean Bugs with software in general?

If the second, I'm really not aware of any software on the market today that does not have a bug. And of course they address the bugs as soon as they can find them, but then create new bugs, or new ones are found as new hardware and software are added to systems.

There are simply to many variables in Computers today to prevent bugs from occuring.

And recording takes up a lot of CPU, and is more than likely to have issues than most softwares, though not all. [:-)]

We try our best, and catch the worst ones ASAP.

Regards,

Craig

We found few new bugs in Nero 5.5.4.0 series. first the JustSpeed Off function simply doesn't work at all. Even you un-check it, drive doesn't comply to that. Previous 5.5.3.0 worked fine.

Also DVD Copy doesn't work...Nero sees the DVD disc as CD!

The bug mentioned below has been resolved in Nero 5540.

All other bugs reported here have been fowarded on to our Engineers, and they are looking into them ASAP.

If you are going to report the bugs to the engineers, pls also report that there are bugs of Nero5.X while burning the WINXP'iso. Nero will make the file controls.man (\i386\asms\6000\msft\windows\common\controls\)into 00h.
This already made thousands of rubbish CDRs as i know.
Sorry for my poor english~~ :P

Start off by saying great site.

So I'm new to the Nero game, and my Mitsumi 4808TE came with Nero 5.5.24. I upgraded to the .40 patch, and tried to burn Office XP ISO to an Imation 80 minute CDR. I set overburn to 83 minutes, as the ISO image is 82:03. At 100%, I get a write error. Can anyone tell me if that is a function of my CDR not being able to be overburned far enough, or if it's a problem with Nero and XP? I used DAO, finalize CD, and had to click ignore for a byte count mismatch or something, before burning.

Any ideas? I really like Nero so far, other than I have 3 coasters so far from it. I'm guessing it's just the CDRs capacity, or more lack of knowledge in the overburning department :)

Thanks for any help that can be offered.
