Hi all, i am from Malaysia. Just bought my Aopen 16x10x32 for around US73.00 and straight away proceed to the firmware upgrade.(The Aopen 24x10x40 is more expensive over here..US93.00)

1. 16x10x32 (first version firmware) to 20x10x40 (latested firmware from Aopen FTP) --> successful,can read all the CDR and all the CDRW disc.
2. 20x10x40 to 24x10x40 (latest firmware) --> successful, can read all the CDR and CDRW dics,but the cheapo US1.00 CDRW disc cause the machine hang. Only the US2.00 to US3.00 CDRW dics is ok.

I will update you all after i test the CDR and CDRW burning.

(BTW, My CDRW drive is a boxed version, manufacture date October 2001)
