Well, hi at all!
I'm a new member and I found this forum searching the net while I was looking for a modded firmware for my YAMAHA DVD-S550 which adds support for GREEK fonts to external subtitles and file browser (CodePage 1253). Unfortunatelly i didn't find one so I made up one.

So, if anybody was looking for this, now it is available!

What's new in modded version 2.0:
FEATURES CHANGED/CORRECTED:
1) Support for Greek fonts at file and picture browser (Codepage 1253 enabled, Font used: Comic Sans MS 14pts w/o outline).
NEW:
1) Support for Greek external Subtitles (Codepage 1253 enabled, Font used: Arial Narrow 21pts Bold w/ outline 3).
2) OSD Icon package changed with new 3D ones.
3) General background and file/picture browser background changed with new less boring ones.
4) Subtitles zone size increased to 640x100 and position lowered.

I tested them on my own Yamaha DVD-S550 player and worked just perfect, so I really don't believe that there will be any problem, BUT BEWARE.
