hi, i bought a customized computer a long time ago, and im trying to figure out which is the primary and secondary IDE drive.  The white one is connected to the hard drive, and the blue one is connected to my dvd drives.  But i have heard that the blue is supposed to be the primary ide channel that the hard drive is on, and the white is supposed to be the secondary channel that the dvd drives are on.  Is it safe to switch the primary ide channel to the hard drive, and the white ide channel to the cd drives without affecting the hard drive?
And how can i know for sure which is the primary channel and which is the secondary channel?
