Is there anyone here who own's this burner or has used it before?
I'am curious about. And being that the 760A,755A,755SA,& 716 are nearly impossible to find!
I might just settle for a 800A & Pioneer DVR-112DBK

It manufactured "FOR" plextor, it's not a plextor made drive, but I can't remember who makes it for them.

I think the 800A is an NEC/Sony Optiarc.  I'd avoid it.  Waste of money.

LG and Pioneer are a pretty darn good duo.  I don't think there has ever been a dominating DVD burner...

Plextor and Yamaha dominated the CD burners and then LITE-ON came along and their CD burners weren't too bad either.  But I don't think I could ever pick a single DVD burner on a budget... Glad they average roughly $30 a piece and I have a tower that can hold five drives!!!

What drives you got in those bays?

HP Dual-layer LightScribe  16x DVD Writer((real good and also very quiet)
Lite-On  LH -20A1P  20x DVD Writer (It's okay)

See the HP originally came inside my PC.See SithTracy,I had my HP Pavilion a1430n Media Center placed into a Antec 900 gaming case.
And changed the original mobo, psu, graphics card and cpu cooler!

LOL...............it's not a HP anymore. It even voided my warranty.

Should,I just keep the HP drive and take-out the Lite-on?Replace the Lite-on.Because,the hp has been faithful.I've even thought about replacing the HP with a newer HP DVD1040i.My current HP drive is a DVD740i.

If you could find out more about that HP... I think a long time ago, they used BenQ drives, not sure enough though (if it contains a Nexperia chip ignore what I say).  Of the top of my head I would ditch the HP and get a Pioneer DVR-212D... Use the LITE-ON as a scanner.
