Hey guys,I've thought it over almost all night.Kinda tired of paying my pc-tech all the cash;that I do pay him to keep installing parts for me.Because,I'am disabled and not able to do most of these things for myself.

So,I've that I want give a external dvd burner a try this time.
I'am needing help picking out a good reliable external burner.
Any suggestions? My budget is $150.00 and prefer to buy it online!

I guess there is a Pioneer drive available at Best Buy (or so I am told) as well as an LG... I'd look at those, but keep in mind the strengths and weaknesses of each:

LG's:
Usually can read/write DVD-RAM (if you need it)
Can booktype/bit-set +R media to DVD-ROM
RIPLOCK enabled (downer)

Pioneers:
In the U.S., they usually only read DVD-RAM, but cannot write to it
They do not bitset/booktype so DVD-R media is best (though they usually auto bitset +R DL media)
They do a great job with CD-R burning.
