Hi, I need to know if this is possible. Are there any programs, or hacks to existing software, that would allow me to *extract* the firmware from a Ricoh-based drive, without having an original firmware for that drive? I know it's possible to "backup" the firmware if you already have a compatible firmware for the drive to hand, but surely there must be some way of taking the firmware out? I ask because I want to attempt to flash an Artec 2040 with Aopen 2040 firmware, as Artec don't seem to want to release any updates. Any clues? Please help if you can!!! ;)
