I have a VCD that I created from MPEG-1 files and the first time after burning it, it played fine. later the same day, whe nI tried to play it, the video of the first file on the VCD is bad (garbled and static) and there are clicks in the audio. I played the VCD on other computers and it played normally. I am puzzled.
I am using windows XP, 256 DDR SDRAM, burned the VCD using nero 6.3.0.3, and used PowerDVD 4 XP to play the VCD.

Please check the brand of the media you are using.

Is DMA enabled for your DVD reader?

The fact that the disc is playable on the other pc means that your disc is ok.
Try to reinstall PowerDVD and if you suspect the drive, copy-paste the file to your hard disk.
I believe it has to do with your video codecs
