According to a recent rumor, NASA decided to abandon the MS Internet Explorer for the open source browser Firefox.
Representatives of NASA are worried after the last appearance of serious safety problems on the IE, and they decided to use the Firefox in all services terminals [also the terminals that will be used in space missions]. Source:

Hardly surprising really. IE Flaw Puts Google Desktop at Risk Yet another bug. :(
