Thanks for this detailed review !
The new thing with this Pioneer 110 is DVD-RAM writing
For DVD-RAM's there is no possibilty of "disc quality" scanning with CD DVD Speed
but it is possible to run "scandisk" in this software on a burned DVD-RAM.

So I  like to know what this scandisc test tells us exactly about the quality of the writing of a DVD-RAM ?

scandisk, as in case with HDs, is a way of measuring the bad sectors.

Is it possible to complete the cd error correction tests with the latest firmware?

Lite-On's DVD-RAM compatible burner (I forget the model #) can do CD Speed disc quality scans, or K-Probe PI/PIF scans on DVD-RAM discs.
