I just noticed Apple released a slick little iPod (The iPod Nano) and it looks pretty cool.  It comes in a 2GB or 4GB model.  What I want to know is if it is a flash player or some micro hard disc.  I am more interested in a flash player.  If anyone knows anything about it, please post.

Well, I just got an e-mail from eCost and they have the 2GB iPod nano listed for US $194.00 (Sept 8, 2005) and the 4GB iPod nano listed for US $244.00 (Sept 8, 2005).  I think it lists for $199.00 US and $249.00 US.

I suspect the links won't be there long...  It just came out.  I'd like to see reviews and know if it is a flash or mini hard disc player.  I guess it will replace the iPod Mini.

seems a very slick designed player, but...maybe too expensive?

I disagree, at least until I read a few reviews.  I paid around $135 US a few months back for a SanDisk DAP 1GB flash player.  I don't think $250 US is too bad for a 4GB player with a color screen.

For now, I'm looking forward to reading some good reviews and hoping one of these little beasts ends up in my stocking this Christmas!!!

Broke down and got one, and what a fine device it is.  Though I have large hands, this thing isn't bad to handle and control.  Apple sure knows how to make quality MP3/AAC players.  Adding a radio tuner would have been nice, but for my use, this will be fine.  I also have a SanDisk DAP SDMX1 1GB player for the FM need... But the 4GB iPod nano is, as my 11-year old niece would say, "The Bomb".

Now to get some accessories for it... Dock, headphones, etc.

If anyone is looking for a flash player, look no further than the iPod nano.  Excellent player!!!
