No, I don't think that overspeed is possible with DVD-RAM discs.

Looks like the 4550 can read 2x/3x-media @5x, which is faster than the other drives like LG

The game comes only in DVD with Safedisc v4.60 protection, at least here.

I just got it...I haven't tried anything yet, but soon I will. Let me first check it with a protection detector to confirm the protection.
