I have been struggling with an InCD 3.4 problem for a year now. Using a Benq 4016P, I am unable to format CD via InCD. The formatting process cuts off after about ten minutes. There is no error log that I can find in the installation files. The only error message is: "INCD formatting error: 0051-0003-0073-0003."

The burner only presents a problem in formatting for InCD. It works fine with the normal Nero burning program, but never would format since the day of installation.

I had contacted Nero through tech support but obtained no satisfactory assistance. The tech, Mike Woods, kept referring me to new updates. It sometimes took two weeks to receive a response, and after there were no more updates, he ceased responding at all.

Benq was much better, but it still took months before I received a new burner from them. Yet the problem was not corrected.

It is not a problem with the computer. I have installed the burner on another, pristine computer and have the same problem. I am suspecting a fundamental incompatiblity between Benq and InCD, even though Nero software is packed with these burners.

I am running Win98SE on 500 mhz.
