3. I had Nero 5, and when this started happening I started using Nero 6, but the same problem was still happening

5.I've tried many different modes of burning and the same problem happens on all of them, except when burning an audio CD I can hear the music, but it is veri scratchy.

I tryed it on a DVD/writer and I cant see anything on the CD, I dont know anyone that would have just a DVD CD rom.
Do you now how to correct this problem, if the problem is what you aspect?

I know this may sound patronising but I am not trying to be but is it an upgrade or full version from nero5 to nero 6 and what version of nero6 I believe the latest is 6.0015. You also have put a question mark against os operating sysyem are you running windows 98, me or XP.

You still havent said if you are trying copy on the fly or to H.D.

one other question what exactly is your methodology to make a new cd.

One is a CDrom and the other is a burner!
I'm sorry, I'm very confused why I said that.
I have the full version of Nero 6 and the latest version, 6.0015. I am using win. XP. I usually don`t copy on the fly, but now that I think of it... The first time that my burner made a blank CD was when I was Burning with the CloneCD program and then I did use on the fly.
Methodology, what do you mean by that?

Methodology is meant as in DAO or TAO... and disk on the fly is DEFINATELY not the way you want to copy.

Look-a I think we should start at the beginning.
if you are wanting to copy a whole CD place the CD you wish to copy into the CD writer and start Nero 6 I think express will be easier if you are unsure how to use nero start with the wizards and follow the instructions it will ask you do you wish which sort of disc you want to make also what type of disc ie. music,data, video etc .It is pretty self explanatory using nero express it even ask you which recorder to use until you are more sure I would use youre burner as youre recorder and source. Have a try and see how you get on if theres anything you dont understand get back to me.

Look-a I have a feeling that you are doing things completely wrong. If you had followed my instructions and used the wizard you should have no problem copying a disc. Did you do a disc to disc copy?

I have done what you said. I have tried to copy the CD (not on the fly, and used the DAO option). And the result is, that I get an error report while burning( invalid field in command).

This error message can appear if energy saving measures or Powersaving routines are activated, e.g. Powerdown of the monitor or Hard-drive. In particular if the error message always appears after after a few minutes. If you have any enabled deactivate all Powersaving routines and also disable any screen savers you have enabled !!!
