I use a Teac 40X burner and when I try to burn a CD on Nero the CD seams to burn ok, I get the massage burn successfully and if I check the bottom of the CD it seams that there is something on it. But when I check my CD on my computer there is nothing on it! This just started happening, my burner worked fine until now. I have read somewhere that this is possible beacons of the lasers getting weak, I'm not sure if that is the case though.

I faced a similar situation recently. Was this perhaps an ISO disc that you burned? If it is, make sure you burn Mode 1, if you burn mode 2, I have found, that my CDRW drive will show the disc blank, but my DVD drive will read and show the files. This may not be your problem, but it is a thought.

Have you tried to read the burned CD in a different device, perhaps a CD or DVD Rom drive?

I only have two CD drives, I cant see anything on the CD on ether one of them

Have you tried the burned media is a "different" computer? Is one of your drives a DVD Rom? or CD Rom? or are they both burners?

This is as I thought. Try the media in a "different" computer that has a DVD ROM or CD ROM not a burner. This is the Exact problem I had, as in my first post. Make Sure you are using Mode 1 on your ISO discs. I believe you will find that if you try these discs in a DVDROM or CDROM drive, you will be able to read them.

I tryed it on a DVD/writer and I cant see anything on the CD, I dont know anyone that would have just a DVD CD rom.
Do you now how to correct this problem, if the problem is what you aspect?

Well... if it is the same problem that I had, no DVD Writer or CD Writer would read the disc, but a ROM drive would.

The Problem was that I burned the ISO disc in Mode 2 by accident instead of Mode 1. Seems a Rom drive can read them, but for some reason, writers cannot.

I had the same problem and it turned out it had something to do with copy protection on the disc, you aren't trying to backu-up your discs are you?

It's not copy protection on the disc, and ISO Data Disc? Solutions were given.... I suggest you try the discs as I said in a DVD Rom or A CD ROM, you will see that they are able to read them.

Yes, but if I do find a DVD rom, that doesn't solve my problem. Do you think that buying a new burner would resolve the problem?

I tried different discs also a different burner but finally I just changed my software. This did work but You havent said which programs you are using It may be that you may just be doing something wrong.
1.Which version of nero are you using.
2.which os are you using
3.have you had any burning software on the system previously.
4.what spec is your computer.
5. are you trying to copy on the fly as you said you had two burners.
6. are they both the same make. If not where they retail or oem.
7. did they both come with software.
