This NEC ND-6100A comes with the DELL latitude D600. I could not write to a DVD-R with it. What is the reason and hwo to solve the problem please? Thanks!

how about a newer firmware? or a different media, did you use more than one of the same DVD-R?

you need a special patch to burn DVD-R media with your ND-6100A

Dear Iggy,

I could not find any newer firmware for the NEC ND-6100A. Could I use a NEC ND-6500A firmware?

As for the discs, yes, I tried several of Verbatim DVD-R 4X as well as Verbatim DVD-R 8X.
