i see the new A8N-SLI Premium mobo in Asus download section, but i don't see it in their product line. Anyone heard of this mobo. What are the differences with the deluxe edition?

The difference is the SLI feature can be turned on/off with software; with the deluxe you have to open the case and change the position on the SLI selector.  Most everything else is the same.

i just checked it, and with my 6600GTs, i can now change the SLI setting (dual or single) through bios ONLY.

I am using the deluxe edition, firmware 1008, nVidia 6600GTs, and the SLI selector is always set to dual mode (manually)

WHERE did you get this board?  What store or distributor?  I've been waiting for the Premium to come out for like two months!

TIA

I purchase mine from Asus.com USA.  It's a fantastic board, so far no problems, I love it!

so, you have the premium mobo... There are rumours that it's a better overclocker than the deluxe mobo... Have u tried overclocking your CPU or RAM in any way???

tell us your experiences cause i might change my deluxe mobo to get the premium one, if there are more differences than the SLI selector

I have my mobo overclocked 20 percent, but you could probably do the same.  The "MEMORY" is the trick!  You can make your memory speed up, and I have done so showing a 80 percent increase in memory speed!

I haven't had a single problem in this mobo so far, but it is still new, hasn't been in long, basically I just did a burn in, and have had little chance to use it.... but so far, I'm VERY impressed.

are you reffering to an Intel based mobo??? cause 20% seems to be too much. My A8N-SLI deluxe allows only up to 10%

P.S.: the differences of A8N-SLI and A8N-SLI deluxe is only the extra LAN, 4 more SATA and the extra firewire??? cause if that's the case, i don't think that anyone need 2 LAN, or 2 firewire... and of course, 4xSATA is more than enough!!!

No, MP3Mogul is referring to the AMD based A8N-SLI Premium.  But like he mentioned, the memory is the key.  The G.Skill stuff is simply the best memory you can get for the A8N series mainboards.  I have yet to pick any up simply because everytime I looked it was on backorder.  I settled for Corsair, but will swap it out in a few more months time.
