what you mean firmware is beta? I saw the K033 at michel website, we had tried to make 3530->3540 but we fried the drive

my drive is original 3540 . but drive led keep blinking and when restart pc , tray always jack out.

Now flash to   Liggy & Dee NEC ND-3540 Modified Firmware V 1.W1  , everything work fine
Maybe this firmware "k033" crash with intel 865pe chipset.
