Thanks... got the LG in my machine - still reading the review.
Bizarre result on the extended length audio rip...
The LG got the 99min ok, but choked badly on the 90, and the Liteon choked on both (the summing up sentence is wrong, from the pictures, the LG read the 99, not the 90).
My LG is pretty noisy when spun up.
PS. I tried releasing the "lockout" in CDspeed, but with a solid block returned for the scan, I turned it back on - with the lockout applied, you cannot attempt to scan, and with it released, the result is clearly not valid.
