Sorry if i'm in the wrong forum. My school network restricts a lot of things and i am looking for a way to get around this. I have tried to configure IE to use another http proxy but i can't get into internet options. It gives me an error message saying 'This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions on your computer.'

Can anyone tell me how to get into internet options or another way to bypass the website restrictions?

If you don't have administrator priviledges on the system you are working I think it cannot be done without being identified, and it is illegal offcourse.

We could... but then we would have to shoot you.

Seriously, if there are restrictions, they are there for a reason! No, I don't tell you how to remove/bypass them, as you might get into troubles with your school/admin... and we don't want that happen. Your only option is to ask (with good reasons!) your admin to make neccessary changes to your account... but in that environment, don't be surprised if (s)he just say "no" to you. If you're considering about tampering the system by yourself, think again - Admin WILL most likely find it out!

If your're not banned from running unspecified software (you should be), then "portable firefox" may do the trick, can run directly from a USB pendrive.
