:)

I've used that gflSDK. Support for PNG output requires to download an 880 kB DLL, which i'll put online separately, which will most like not change unless its author updates it. Without that DLL, there will be only BMP output, but no PNG output.

2 things:
- i had to secretly replace the zip file on my homepage (was at about 19:15 earth standard time) because of a cosmetic bug :P
- there is a troll on sourceforge who tries to interfere (eric fernandez' linux port of pxscan was supposed to go sourceforge), there's a discussion on that there. Does anyone know who that d0rk "takeshima" is?

alex thanks for your news, i tried babelfish but that nickname didn't showed anything, btw will soundforge doesn't host the project?

btw, can you make the software to export directly the png files at pre-defined size/resolution depth (8bit/? colours) too, like the batch mode?

I could make it automatically create a PNG file from any PXD file which is loaded...

you would have first load the PXD file or automatically create the PNG after the PXD created at the HDD?

I could add a parameter to PxView which makes it create a PNG file from a PXD file which is loaded, and I could make PxScan automatically load PxView after the PXD file is created...

Just out of curiosity ... will there be a graphical front-end which will allow to access pxscan and its switches directly without batch files ?

Not that I worry too much about comfort, though ...

-auto-png is working now (PxScan 1.5.5 + PxView 1.10.1)

Use "autolaunch" as parameter in PxScan, as demonstrated in fast_scan.bat

A small suggestion for PxView:

Currently the PIF graph has a minimum scale of 10 when using auto-adjust.

A good disc will have PIF <= 4 and I prefer to have a scale of 5 for PIF (when possible).

Could the PxView auto-adjust minimum for PIF be changed to 5, please?

I found the following problems with PxView 1.10.1 that didn't exist with 1.10:

  • When saving a scan that has been opened, PxView no longer provides any default filename (i.e. the current name of the file) - the filename field in the Save dialog is blank.
  • I can't save the scan as a PNG file - when I try there is no error message but the file is NOT created.

After restoring PxView 1.10 the two problems above go away.

Alex, if you prefer to get bug reports in a different way then please let me know!
