Lite-On DVD Problem (Full Version)

I have a Lite-On Combo LTC-48161H CD-R / DVD Combo drive, but I cant seem to get the drive to read DVDs. The burner and everything works fine. Is there some drivers I need to install? I checked Lite-On's website and didnt find anything that helped me, so anyone got any ideas?

Have you checked if there is a newer firmware for your drive? Alternative return your drive back as damaged

Installing the latest firmware worked to recognize dvds, but when i try and play them i get an error saying my graphics drivers doesnt support the latest version of direct-x. I've got the latest drivers for my video card (GeForce Ti 4200) and the latest version of Direct-X.

Have you tried with several discs? What is the content of those discs?

Did you try to explore them or play them with some applications?

What are you using to play the movies? PowerDVD, WinDVD, etc.
Also are you using NVIDIA's ForceWare 66.93 and DirectX 9.0c?
