Tried everywhere I know, including BENQ (not sure exactly, but Acer now seem to be BENQ - name change or takeover?)
If you have a choice of cable position, secondary Master is usually the most compatible.
What software? Xp's own facilities, or a Nero that may need updating if you're still update-valid?
And if it's not updatable, check their FAQ's as you ought to find a relevant concessionary price that may also take you to full instead of OEM/Bundle. Not sure what the minimum version is for XP.
