found new FW for Sammy SH-W08A, ver1S31.

but why need to update FW?
if after updated, is possible to reinstall previous FW? how to do it?
after updated, will it become 'region free' and keep 'CPRM' compatible?
current it can playback 'copy once (CPRM)' disc but can't be changed to 'region free'.

I usually keep my drives up to date with firmware revisions. Many things improve. However each firmware describes what changes has been made.

For region free you need an patced firmware. See here[:)]
