thanks for the good review minos!

Iggy -> RE: Samsung TS-H552 review (11/2/2004 2:35:50 AM)

It seems to be an excellent reader. The writng quality is also good but it could be better. The CDSpeed graphs are a little curious.

essainet -> RE: Samsung TS-H552 review (11/3/2004 2:14:48 AM)

Does it work with UDMA66 (I know the review indicates UDMA33, but maybe...) ?

Iggy -> RE: Samsung TS-H552 review (11/3/2004 3:04:27 AM)

It is UDMA33.[:)]

I hope this to add the bitsetting feature.

emperor -> RE: Samsung TS-H552 review (11/15/2004 1:08:59 PM)

good news, minos might want to re-test this with new firmware

wiboon -> RE: Samsung TS-H552 review (1/12/2005 9:52:22 PM)

Please test TS-H552U with "US03" firmware.

talos_2002 -> RE: Samsung TS-H552 review (1/14/2005 6:42:22 PM)

If possible, could you add a "backup copy protected data discs" test?

Iggy -> RE: Samsung TS-H552 review (1/16/2005 6:16:13 AM)

There is such a section if I am not wrong, for SafeDisk games and Audio protections.

talos_2002 -> RE: Samsung TS-H552 review (1/17/2005 9:39:03 AM)

You are right. I missed the protected disc page.

Iggy -> RE: Samsung TS-H552 review (1/17/2005 10:14:20 AM)

No problem Mate![:)]

Most times a firmware cannot improve this ability.

Nil Einne -> RE: Samsung TS-H552 review (1/18/2005 6:45:27 AM)

Does the new firmware really add 16x DVD-R and 4x (or even 5x) DVD+RDL as had been promised/claimed by Samsung? This would seem less likely given that they have now released a TS-H552U which does have 16x DVD-R and 4x DVD+RDL

Iggy -> RE: Samsung TS-H552 review (1/18/2005 9:51:59 AM)

Yes they add it but I don't know how much large is the media supported list fir the new speeds.
