How do you set the Epson R300 to print the hub part of a DVD? I guess it is a getting old thing but I sometimes just can't understand what I read. Getting old aint no disgrace, but it sure is awful unhandy!! [:@]

[&:]what do you mean by hub?

[8D] You can buy media that is printable all the way to the center hole. The hub is the part from the center hole to where the media has the part that you record on. On most media this is clear plastic.[;)]

Mine is also 120a. What do you set the inner size to? [&:]

Thanks jarr_d. I did find something that I could measure in mm with. Set it to 21mm and works great with Memorex printables. That may be something that needs to be changed with different brands of media, depending on how much clear plastic is showing in the center.

Again thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

I think there are few media that can be printed up to the inner hub, don't remember which exactly...[:(]

MP3Mogul -> RE: How to print hub on R300 (10/31/2004 7:53:16 AM)

Yeah, the Memorex can... I use them, also set at 21 mm

NotesGooRoo -> RE: How to print hub on R300 (11/7/2004 1:00:21 AM)

I have been using Prodisc 8X hub printables, no issues so far related to the media. The print quality is pretty good, but I have seen better on regular printables costing more $$. I will probably continue to use them despite those predicting their demise after a year or so.

I believe I set it to 19mm for the i.d. I will have to check when I use that machine again.

Folks,

Ritek G05 and Prodisc are printable to the hub.
IMO, prodisc has a good finish, but Ritek is slightly better. Not enough of a difference though.
I set my ID at 22mm.
