It seems that the new LG GSA4160BI is an upgraded model from GSA4120B and Im interested in buying. Just worried about any booktype support for setting RW+9 to DVD-ROM or not since the original GSA4120B doesn't support any booktype settings. If GSA4160BI doesn't have them either, I am wondering any firmwire out there will do the trick. How about A301? Too bad the new model still writes DL in 2.4X. I'd appreciate it if any pointers!!

LG hasn't release any newer firmware yet but I am sure that soon it will.

So Iggy, you mean GSA4160BI doesn't support any booktype settings? Is GSA4160BI a different drive from 4160B? Can a firmware for 4160B be used for 4160BI too? 'Cause A301 is noted as a 4160B firmware but I don't know what it changes besides making the drive zone free. Does it do any booktype related changes to GSA4160B?

I think GSA-4160B has booktype option for DVD+R9 and *maybe* for DVD+R, minos will test it and let us know ASAP

I don't think that the drive supports this feature at this moment.
