S33K3R -> BENQ DW1620.0C3 bulk drive firmware (9/28/2004 4:26:43 PM) this guy claims that that his drives have a firmware other than b7xx or b5xx. it supposedly has g7c9. the drives are in an external enclosure. anyone know anything about this? http://forum.rpc1.org/viewtopic.php?t=29867

DMagic1 -> RE: BENQ DW1620.0C3 bulk drive firmware (10/3/2004 3:16:29 PM) Yes some OEM Benq 1620 come with fw G7*9. Benq now has two versions of its firmware for download, B7*9 and G7*9. These OEM units wont accept the normal Benq firmware updater because of the B string. One known unit is the I/O Magic drive.
