I've been using Easy CD Creator and DirectCD for years and now I'm moving to Nero and InCD with my new Yamaha CRW-F1 writer (IDE + SCSI adapter, working fine). After deleting Adaptec software from my PC, InCD is still showing the message to remove Easy CD Creator from the computer to proceed to inCD installation. I spent the whole day trying different solutions and I'm stuck. Any helpful suggestion ?

It would be most helpful to know what version of Windows you are utilizing. However, Go to Add/Remove software and remove the offending program. Once you have done that, delete any remaining directories that are on the hard drive. Then do a registry edit and delete everything to do with that software. Once this is done, reboot and the software will be gone forever.

Do you see any other suggestion before I delete anything from the registry ?

Well there is one thing to try !!! [:)]
You say you deleted it so just Re-install Easy Coaster Creator and Direct CD then uninstall them with there own Uninstall program and see if that helps !!! [:)]

it is exactly what I've done and now I've just installed InCD after removing all Adaptec elements from the registry. So far so good.[8D]
Too good to be true! In fact I have a new - and pretty known problem : a nice error message after launching Format a new
CD-RW. "Error code [0015-0005-001a-0000] Illegal request ... bla bla bla[B)]
What the hack is that ? and what to do ?

Ok, this is just to tell you that my panic didn't last much.
I found out where this error message was coming from (I was trying to format a CD-RW with Mt. Renier parket writing method and the CD wasn't supporting this) and I made final settings to my writer. Everything is fine now. Thanx to everybody and happy recordings [:D]
