Could possibly be that your browser is pulling from the cache and showing an earlier non updated page. Go to the site and hold down the 'control' key while pressing refresh in IE.

Thank you so much for clearing that up for me. I thought that might be the case, but wasn't sure. I've learned more from reading your posts and Emperor's posts than from any other source out there. Thank you both for being such a great help to us all.

I used VS04 and it upgraded my 812s. But it no longer is able to read a disc. I can easily put it back to an 812 and it works. What am I doing wrong?

Yes. I downloaded the VS04 832s firmware. I updated my 812s. When I re-booted it showed I have a 832s drive. However, when I insert a DVD it only blinks for about 30 seconds and thinks it has no disc. I reloaded the stock 812s firmware and everything works fine again.

Ah ok, visit http://codeguys.rpc1.org and grab from the patchers page the omnipatcher, load it, and tick last box [;)]

Wait a minute! I can only read disc's I've burned but not original dual layer DVD's. This is strange. Any ideas on this problem?

Strange problem. I heard only two reports of something similar, and it was with VS01. Both people said that the problem went away with VS04. Most other people didn't have this problem with either VS01 or VS04. I really have no idea why... (??)

how do I back-up my existing Firmware USOJ in case I want to revert to it?
