DVD/CDROM, ATIP? (Full Version)

I know that CDROM's do not check for the ATIP info. Are DVD/CDROM's the same? I have been backing up my software for more then two years now with the power tools (Clone CD, with the help of Clony later on) and four different burners. I am thinking of replacing my CDROM with a DVD ROM. Would I still be able to run my, (SD2) backups on a DVD ROM? [?]

I have been visiting this fourm, and others, for quite along time now, and CDR-INFO is the BEST of 'em all. [^]
