Hi...When i burn a VCD there are no problems, when i burn a SVCD and play it back on my DVD player(Toshiba 220E) there are problems with lip sinc, there isn't any, it plays back in sinc on my NEC computer player, any ideas, i encode to SVCD (from DV)using TMPGenc 2.5, and burn using Nero.. Thanks

you can try getting the mpeg 2 plugin for nero and encoding it with nero, but it sounds like your dvd player doesnt support svcd.

i say this because mine has the same problem and my dvd player doesn't support svcd.

Thanks for that rik, when i use the nero plugin the quality isn't as good, so maybe the DVD doesn't play SVCD like you said , i'll check more ........thanks steve

in case anyones interested i've found a work around for the problem, by pressing the angle key on the remote 3 times so it goes from Audio 1 to 2 then back to 1 hey presto lip sinc, found it on vcdhelper.com
