ZM -> Should I buy it? Or not? (12/13/2001 12:57:45 PM)

Hi there,

I'll buy a CDRW next week, but I need help/advice ...

I'm thinking of CD Writer:
PlexWriter 24/10/40A
E-IDE (ATAPI) Interface
24x Write, 10x ReWrite, 40x Read

I would like to know if this is the best buy I can make ...

I have an ASUS DVD ROM that I can use to read CDs to copy or make image (right?)

I want a CDRW that is able to burn avery single CD out there, bypassing the protections (everyone does) :), I also download iso, bin/cue, and other image files from net, and I want a CDRW that is able to burn them good and working ...

I also would like to know if this drive works with all the software out there ... FireBurner, CloneCD, Nero, CDRWin, BlindWrite, etc...

I don't know the diference between all the software out there ... is the diference just the type of images they can burn?

I recently have a PhilipsCDD2000 (SCSI 2xwrite, 4xread, no rewrite), I tried to burn cue file of Return To Castle Wolfenstein (with CDRWin4.0a beta), and the result was a 80mins CDR with a SINGLE file "Track01.cda" ... you think it was a problem with Recorder or the software?

Many Thanks!!! :)
ZM
