major9686 -> Problem with Memory Timings (5/25/2008 3:56:16 AM)

Hello :)
Its been a while since Ive been here ...
Ive bought new PC parts some time ago ..
I have trouble with the motherboard\memory sticks EPP timings ..

OCZ DDR2 PC2-6400
http://www.ocztechnology.com/products/memory/ocz_ddr2_pc2_6400_reaper_cl4_4gb_edition

I cant manage to get the memories timings to 4-4-4-15

can any1 help me ??

I have GA-MA69G-S3H  motherboard
http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Products/Motherboard/Products_Spec.aspx?ClassValue=Motherboard&ProductID=2554&ProductName=GA-MA69G-S3H

The memories support up to 2.15v without ruin the lifetime warranty ..
it says that in order to get 4-4-4-15 timings u need 2.1v ..
I tried it but couldnt get it to work :(

is there some program that helps u set it from the windows or do u have to do it from the BIOS ?
Ive already tried with the bios.. I think u need to press CTRL+F1 or something like that ..

on the motherboard specs. it says : Supports 1.8V DDR2 DIMMs ...
does that means it supports DIMMs that goes as low as 1.8 .. or is it that it cant go over\support DIMMs that require more than 1.8v ?

Hey major9686, how are ya?  Been out of town for bereavement for a bit.

Does not appear that your memory (OCZ2RPR800C44GK) is on the supported list for the system board you have (but the list they have online may be old).  Try OCZ support and see if they are familiar with that board.  The only thing I would suggest is try a BIOS upgrade.
