hey guy's i just put a new cd rom in my computer cause my last one quite so i put this one in and it works it just dont read cds! it is really irritateing me people say i need to install the driver for it the model is Sony crx140e But i just cant find a driver to install for it please help!!

If you are using WinXP there is no driver, Windows XPs driver would be the only thing you need.

This is one thing again!
There is an issue with XP SP2.The ATAPI SYS 32 System Driver has a "hole" in it.See the Microsoft KB article 883523 that refers to it.I had similar problems with a new Lite-On Drive and the hotfix available from Microsoft cured it.The issues occurr only with SP2.What the Hotfix does is effectively roll-back to the SP1 Driver.The issue has been addressed with SP3 and is in the BETA if you want to use this.
