No offense, but this is a public forum... Perhaps the problem you had, another user is experiencing.  If you deleted your post, the resolution is gone as well and the individual would have to post again.  It is beneficial for everyone.  Not sure I have a good understanding of your need to delete a post.... You can always edit a post and remove your text, but not sure if you can do that once you have been replied to.

Jimmm,

If you don't want your phone number or credit card number posted, don't post it... that's pretty basic security.

You have the ability to delete the post when first made, but after a user has responded, you cannot delete the post.  Hopefully you can understand that if your post was deleted, and people have responded, and then new users come along and cannot see what was originally responded to, this would cause chaos.  This is the "purpose" of a forum, to share ideas and get answers to questions.

This is how forums work.  Without posts, there would be no forums at all, and you wouldn't be here reading this now.

Just so you'll also know.  Yes you can format your drive, but did you know that "EVERYTHING" you send or post in cyberspace is there permanently?  It's true it is.  Your emails are a "permanent" record as well.

Welcome to the internet! [;)]

P.S.  As a matter of courtesy to all of our members, please refrain from posting obscene words in your future posts.  Once again, thank you in advance for your cooperation.

It is rude to delete a post when other people have spent their time to reply to you...

jimmm, my advice to you.... Don't drink and surf the net![sm=1.gif]  I promise, no one here wants you to post any photos...  But thanks for the evening laugh[:D]... after my day at work I needed it.  I hope you weren't too serious[sm=2.gif].

Antonio -> RE: Delete my posts (5/25/2006 3:15:38 AM)

For sexy photos, I would sugget the PM feature or MSN.[8D][:D]

Unfortunately there is nothing to do about this. Don't forget also the IP you are using each time you connect to the internet and the info that the provider knows about us.
We cannot hide from authorities, they can trace us whatever we will do...that's why we have to be cautious on what we do.[;)]

MP3Mogul -> RE: Delete my posts (5/25/2006 5:55:50 PM)

As I explained earlier, you can delete a post that no one has replied to afterwards.

You said above I think posting your credit card number is extreme?

Yes it's pretty extreme!  But if you don't think so, feel free to post it on myspace.com.... I'm sure it will get some use [;)]

Also, there is "AA" if you have an uncontrolable alcohol problem.  If you are consuming alcohol and doing such foolish things, you definately have a problem and need professional help.

Good luck to you.

In my opinion, if you want to go back and delete your posts.. Don't bother asking questions, don't bother posting, it's too confusing to other users, and unfair to other members of the board.

GIVE UP....

You're NOT going to win......

If you DON"T want to POST, then don't... otherwise....

JUST MOVE ON.............. let's drop the whole thing, because it's taking away from the board... users don't need to be reading your uninformed posts.
