hi,

i have the old k7s5a mb sis735 chipset ...i think wanted to know if anyone knew where any bios updates or anything to make it better.

and any diags to test why suddenly my sec master & slave drives aren't recognized.

i would greatly appreciate any help you can offer

which brand is it?

Unistall the secondary ide channel from device manager and reboot.

thanks for the reply, i think that it might possibly be a power thing dayuuuum i was thinking that is morning.  sucks cuz this was a new case well older case but new in box

what brand do you mean?  mb is ecs oh the cdrw drives?  1 memorex 1 acer.

mb has amd cpu...im too embarrased to tell u speed of it

Yes, might be a power issue but have you tried the above suggestion? Is there any bios update in ecs' website?

thanks for the reply.  i did however disconnect the 2nd cdrw [sec slave] and poof it booted up with just the one i left connect..i am sooooo verrry verry upset.
