I`d like to speed up my cdwriter above writing rate at 4x .
I wonder is it true or it can happen ?

As far as I know it is only capable of 4x and with the Price of 52x Writers being very low at the moment I can't see the point of doing it even if it was possible !!! [:)]

There's no way. And hold on to that writer, it's one of the best in the world [;)] (There's nothing like early model TEAC recorders for reading insanely scratched audio CD's - they demolish Plextor/Yamaha/Lite-On). Wouldn't sell my CD-W54E for anything (within reason [:p])..

OMG, dont break that drive. I have a CD-W54S! Its scsi brother.. and there wasnt a damn thing this burner can not do. Make a disc image = exact image with every error, protection, and layer breaks with the right configuration. Perfect copies. The only thing that it doesnt do it create a copy of the hologram inside the film! Yes, I still use this drive. for special discs.
