Does anyone have a copy of the Yamaha CRW 3200e firmware version 1.0b?

I upgraded to version 1.0d (followed the instructions exactly as on yahama.co.jp's firmware page) and the drive does not work any more. I would like to try and revert to the older firmware.

The drive is installed on a system running Win XP. It shows up in Windows Explorer but does not recognize any type/brand of CD.

Has anyone else experienced this?

I will email it to you if you send me your email address. There is nothing wrong with the 1.0d version of the firmware however, it works just fine.

Thanks, mp3mogul! I managed to get a copy of v.1.0b and the drive is operational again.

Would you (or anyone else on this forum) have any pointers about what could have gone wrong when I upgraded to 1.0d?

I am sorry to say but nothing should have gone wrong if you followed Yamaha's instructions fully !!! [:)]
But one thing that caused problems with firmware upgrades in the past was Antivirus programs running so if you have one running I suggest you download the 1.0d again and before you upgrade your writer disable the Antivirus program and then fully follow the instructions and see if this makes any difference !!![:)]

I definately agree with Laffin, as I have 1.0d installed on a 3200 with no problems at all.
