elow -> 3500 is unable to detect some DVD's (2/19/2005 11:05:01 PM)

Has anyone had the experience where they place a DVD in the burner and the burner simply is unable to recognize the DVD at all? I'm using MAD DOG 2FC firmware becuase I need to set the booktype.

You need to give a more detailed description of what you are actually doing and along with the software + versions that you're using.

Do you mean blank or written media?

Hi All,

I've had exactly the same problem!! I upgraded my firmware from 2.17 to Liggy's 2.18 SE the other day, and burning has been fine, but since the upgrade there are some DVD+R's that can no longer be read? They read fine on my Sony-DRU700a though!

I'm going to downgrade back to 2.17, to confirm that the 2.18 upgrade is the cause of the problem.

Navman, please check with the 2.17 firmware, but i don't think the problem here is the firmware but the 3500 itself, its known that is has problems reading some DVD media
