Hello
I work on a 64bit pc unfortuantelly not under 64bit opearting system.
what i would like to do is install 2 writers a dvd one and a cd one on the same ide cable.
i dont care about on the fly copy since its not stable
I want to be sure although that i will have the best write results with both devices when i burn data from hd.
If this can be done what must be the configuration of the writer's jumpers?

Welcome to CDRinfo's Forum!

Try DVD as master and CD as slave. The jumbers should be on the appropriate position and avoid the CS ( cable select), use the master and slave jumber positions.

This is the most common configuration. If this is not working for you try alternatives. Do you have DMA enable for you drives?

yes i know its the most common interface, but i am not a common user
and yes
dma is enabled
a big dissadvatage of that configuration is that i cannot use the slave drive at all, during the writing process of the master
but basically the dvd writing is not smooth so i cannot keep them that way
