Hi all.
I just got my new Traxdata 16x DVD discs but at Nero 6.6 there is only 2.4x and 4x speed available.

. Now i've read about the 2.C8 SE Firmware and i think i'm gonna flash my drive with this one. I downloaded it from here: http://www.cdrinfo.com/forum/tm.asp?m=82999
Is that the correct one?
I've just made backup of my current Firmware(NEC V2.17). Can i switch back without any problems to the original NEC V2.17 firmware after flashing the 2.C8 SE?
By the way...has anyone successfully burned Traxdata 16x(Ritek R04, just looked at Nero CD-DVD Speed) and is the 2.C8 SE the newest for my NEC 3500?

You can go to your previous firmware if you want to.

Yes this firmware suppose to burn them at 16X. I don't have them to test them unfortunately but I try to get a sample.

V2.C8 doesn't support R04 at 16X as far i remember, only at 4X, there are some available firmware if you want to get 16X...

If I am not wrong 2.17 did this. Does 2C8 do the same?

Hmm thats bad! At the moment i use the official Firmware V2.17 and i cannot burn them at 16x. Nero only lets me choose between 2.4x and 4x. Im very disapponted because they are certified for 16x. Don't you know which Firmware i can use so that i can burn them at full speed or at least 12x?
