I was just trying to dump some camcorder footage through dv, after 10 minutes it stops with a message saying ' disk full '. I have a 400GB hard drive which is 95% empty, I am attempting to remove partitions on the HD but dont really know where to start. Any ideas?

Win XP
400GB HD
1GB ram
Athlon64 2.4
Radeon 9800 with 128ram

go to disk management from computer management and delete the extra partitions
you might want to defragment your drive before trying to dump footage from your camcorder.

400GB is a very large capacity, I think the particion is good to be existed. Does both of your particions were formatted?

If still want to proceed, right click on "My Computer"/ Manage/ Disk Managment.

You can delete a partition but you won't be able to read or write on it. You can use a utiity called "Partision Magic" to merge your partitions.

I've been doing some research, and the problem was that i needed to convert from fat32 to NTFS, which I have now done. Everything is working fine.
