I have noticed that InCD has problems recognizing previously CD-MRW formatted disks if they have sector errors. What I have noticed with my Liteon 48125W drive is that InCD will mount the disk but not recognize that the CD is inserted in the drive. In other words, you can access the CD via Win Explorer but the InCD icon remains red in color. What I haven't tried is writing to one of these error CD's. I do know that they are readable; I recently did a partition restore from one with no problems. I suspect that files can't be added to the CD and even if they are, the CD might be corrupted since InCD wouldn't write trailer info. Appears to me that all the bugs with CD-MRW formatting haven't been worked out yet. The whole purpose of this format is to allow for skipping of bad sectors. Might also be a Liteon firmware problem. I have VS08 installed which is the latest upgrade for my drive. I do know that high speed CD-RW media has a long way to go on the reliability front. I think it's time to demand that the manufacturers certify that the media is suitable for CD-MRW formatting.
