Hello,

Does anyone know if there is a newer firmware for the TDK Vortex 12/10/32A and where to obtain it from? My drive currently has v1.00,

sadly tdk hasnt released one yet.........i emailed their tech support and thats what they said. Personally i am not at all happy with my TDK 12/10/32A and its on ebay as we speak. i Find it WAY too picky about what media it will burn with.

Only likes verbatim and tdk's, no taiyo yudens or cmc's :(

I think it is a rebadged Ricoh MP7125A , Ricoh hasnt even made any firmware for it themselves . THey would be the ones to actually make the new firmware not TDK.

Apart from having to re-insert the plastic cog that opens/closes the tray which fell off in transit, the drive has been sweet. Doesn't seem to care what brands I use, even unbranded that I uses for casual burns are fine.
