The 2.x6 firmware series is the same, meaning 2.06/2.16/2.26/2.76 have the same writing strategies...

What about writing quality?
and ... 12x
by record with 2.26 it is used CAV http://homepage2.nifty.com/yss/nd3500a/dvd.htm
by record with 2.16 it is used Z-CLV http://club.cdfreaks.com/showpost.php?p=667589&postcount=3
depends it on a disk?
any comment?

It depends on the used media, let me explain...

All media that allowed to burned up to 12X use Z-CLV

Some media that allowed to burned up to 12X use Z-CLV

All media that allowed to burned up to 16X use CAV, also for 12X

emperor, minos thanks for explanations.
have I correctly understood?
If the disk allows to record on 16x but I choose 12x (8x, 6x...) then it will be written in CAV strategy?
If the disk allows to record only on 12x and I choose 12x then it will be written down in Z-CLV strategy?
PS. the question about nec-nd3500, dtk-1616n, iodata-DVR-ABN16W...

and still not so clearly
at record of the same disk (ID: YUDEN000T02) on nd-3500 on 16x and 12x it was used CAV strategy
but at record on 8x Z-CLV strategy http://homepage2.nifty.com/yss/nd3500a/dvd.htm
