A question for you as it's driving me nuts,i burn alot of vcd's on cdr media, they all play perfect on my player, but my father has a player that will not play cdr, is ther any way into fooling the player into seeing the cdr as an original copy and not cdr, or does it come down to the laser in the the player, it will play VCD but not cdr,Could this problem be the way i am burning with nero?!.Mainly what the hell is the difference that a player see's against and original cd and cdr, Thankyou for your thoughts even if you can't help....

just a guess here,are you burning vcd or svcd. some vcd players do not read svcds. 2nd my player will not read dark media, you need to use silver on silver to get good results. hope this helps

Try burning the VCD on a CDRW. Many stand alone DVD players will only play CDRWs. Let us know if this works.
