Hey,

I looked through other messages but didnt see this topic and if its a repeat, sorry bout that, but here's my problem. I recently purchased the Liteon LTR40125 drive and installed it in my computer - ASUS A7A266 Mobo, 256k ddr 2100 ram, Athlon 1.2ghz chip, running win2k. While windows DOES recognize that my drive is there, it reports that it is a DVD/CD-rom, the same thing it reports for my other cd=rom drive, which IS a DVD-Rom. I d/l'ed and installed the forceaspi and other than that I don't know what to do to get windows to recognize the drive is there. The bundled Nero software also refuses to recognize that its there. Is this a problem with hardware installation or do I need some firmware upgrades? I admit to not knowing much about the subject, especially firmware (is it something like updating the bios since I've read about pple flashing their firmware?) but any and all help would be appreciated. Thanks

Bryan McDonnell
